Quetta: Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti announced that Balochistan’s public health sector has shown remarkable improvement as a result of the provincial government’s strong commitment and effective health reforms.

In a statement on social media platform X, the Chief Minister said recent verified data shows a significant rise in child immunization coverage in Balochistan, reflecting public trust, administrative efficiency, and transparent governance.

According to Aga Khan University (AKU), under the Third Party Verification of Immunization Coverage Survey (TPVICS), the province’s Full Immunization Coverage (FIC) increased from 38% in 2020 to 47% in just one year. This substantial improvement highlights the success of the Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) and ongoing health sector reforms.

CM Bugti stated that if this pace continues, Balochistan will soon achieve the 70% EPI target, marking a historic milestone in child healthcare. He emphasized that the progress is proof of the government’s effective policies, administrative stability, and transparency in public health management.

Praising the Balochistan Health Department team, the Chief Minister said the government will continue strengthening the province’s healthcare system and ensuring a safe, healthy, and secure future for every citizen.
