Killa SaifUllah: The Fourth District Football Tournament organized by the Sagar Kumar Mansoor Foundation began with a colorful opening ceremony in Qila Saifullah, where the Deputy Commissioner of Qila Saifullah attended as the chief guest. The event was attended by local dignitaries, players, social activists, teachers, office-bearers of sports organizations, and a large number of football fans.
In his inaugural address, the Deputy Commissioner stated that sports and physical activities are essential for the mental and physical development of the youth. He emphasized that a healthy society is built through active and strong young people, while sports promote qualities such as endurance, discipline, hard work, and teamwork.
He appreciated the services of the Sagar Kumar Mansoor Foundation, saying that the foundation plays a commendable role in promoting sports and providing opportunities for young athletes in the district. According to him, such tournaments not only bring forward local talent but also motivate the youth to engage in positive and healthy activities.
Addressing the ceremony, he added that sports represent the identity of any society, and football is one of the most popular games in this region, cherished passionately by the youth. He assured that the administration will continue to extend its full support for the development of sports so that young players can showcase their abilities at the national level.
At the end of the ceremony, the participating teams were introduced, and the determination of the players was appreciated. On this occasion, the athletes expressed hope that such tournaments will boost their confidence and provide opportunities to participate in larger competitions in the future.
