Syed Qaseem Shah:

Parliamentary leaders of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) have firmly rejected reports suggesting a change in the Balochistan Chief Minister.

PML-N Parliamentary Leader Mir Salim Khan Khosa and PPP Parliamentary Leader Mir Muhammad Sadiq Umrani clarified that the claims made by Senator Mir Dostain Khan Domki hold no truth and do not reflect the position of any allied party.

Both leaders stated that Senator Domki’s remarks appear to be his personal opinion or desire, rather than a party-backed stance. They emphasized that neither the central leadership of the PML-N nor the PPP is considering any move to replace Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti.

Speaking to reporters after the Balochistan Assembly session, Mir Salim Khan Khosa said the province is already grappling with serious challenges related to law and order and governance, which were thoroughly discussed during an in-camera briefing.

He added that after Domki’s statement, he contacted National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, and the party leadership will likely seek clarification from the senator for issuing such comments without consultation.

PPP’s parliamentary leader Mir Muhammad Sadiq Umrani echoed the same stance, stating that the allied parties remain fully supportive of Chief Minister Bugti and are satisfied with his performance.

Both leaders noted that while differences can exist within any political group, issuing statements that contradict party policy is neither appropriate nor responsible.

They further said that neither the PML-N nor the PPP has any conflict on this matter, and the rumors of a change in the provincial leadership are nothing more than baseless speculation.
