Islamabad — National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has dismissed speculation regarding the removal of Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti, calling the circulating rumors “entirely unfounded.”

During a meeting with the chief minister at Parliament House on Tuesday, the speaker emphasized that the coalition government in Balochistan would continue to play its full role in ensuring the province’s development and prosperity. He said stronger coordination between the federal and provincial governments was vital for addressing public issues effectively.

Both leaders discussed the political atmosphere in Balochistan, ongoing development initiatives, welfare projects, and federal support for the province. The speaker praised the progress of major development schemes in Balochistan, adding that the province’s advancement was directly linked to the overall growth of Pakistan. Ayaz Sadiq assured full cooperation at every level for resolving the concerns of the people of Balochistan.

Chief Minister Bugti, meanwhile, lauded the speaker’s leadership and parliamentary contributions. He appreciated the National Assembly’s assistance in legislative matters concerning the Balochistan Assembly and acknowledged the speaker’s role in smoothly conducting parliamentary proceedings. Bugti said that the people of Balochistan and the country’s security forces remained steadfast in the fight against terrorism, and that parliament served as a strong voice for all provinces.
