The Balochistan government has imposed a ban on the collection of sacrificial hides by banned militant outfits in the province on the eve of Eid ul Azha. This decision was made during a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan on Wednesday.
Home Minister Balochistan, Mir Ziaullah Langove, additional chief secretary home, Hafiz Abdul Basit, Inspector General Police, Mohsin Ahsan Butt and other high ups attended the meeting. The divisional commissioners however participated in the meeting through video link.
The meeting decided to provide security to all 189 Eid Gahs on the eve of Eid ul Azha. The Chief Minister urged upon the masses to extend their cooperation to the provincial government in this regard.
The government also decided to keep markets, shops and shopping malls open on the eve of Eid ul Azha from 9 am to 10 pm in Quetta city. Jam Kamal urged upon the masses to observe Eid ul Azha with simplicity in view of the outbreak of the novel coronavirus. “If precautionary measures were adopted during this Eid, then coronavirus can be eliminated”, the Chief Minister observed.
The meeting directed the Quetta Metropolitan Corporation (QMC) to make better cleanliness arrangements on the eve of Eid.
