ISLAMABAD: Chairman of the Tehreek Tahaffuz-e-Ayeen Pakistan, Mahmood Khan Achakzai, has said that the issue of terrorism in Balochistan will be raised and discussed on the floor of Parliament, stressing the need for accountability after serious security failures.

Speaking on the recent incidents of violence, he expressed concern that despite the gravity of the incident, no individual in authority has stepped forward to accept responsibility or tender a resignation. According to him, this lack of accountability has further shaken public confidence.

Achakzai emphasized that the deteriorating security situation in Balochistan cannot be addressed through statements alone. He called for a comprehensive parliamentary debate to examine the causes of terrorism, institutional shortcomings, and the formulation of a clear and transparent strategy to restore peace.

He further stated that meaningful oversight, political consensus, and openness before the public are essential to ensuring long-term stability in the province, adding that Parliament must play its due role in addressing the concerns of the people.
