News Desk: At least 36 security personnel and 22 civilians were martyred during recent terrorist violence in Balochistan, while 216 terrorists were killed in a sustained counterterrorism operation, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Media and Political Affairs Shahid Rind said while briefing the media in Quetta.
Shahid Rind said banned militant groups launched coordinated attacks on multiple locations, including sensitive government installations. He added that the swift and effective response by security forces prevented the attackers from achieving their objectives and protected civilians in targeted areas.
Operation Radd-ul-Fitna-1 Intensified
Following the attacks, security forces intensified Operation Radd-ul-Fitna-1, targeting terrorist hideouts, leadership, and support networks. According to officials, the operation severely damaged militants’ command-and-control structures and disrupted their ability to operate across the province.
Law enforcement agencies have detained several suspects during ongoing search and clearance operations. Authorities urged citizens to cooperate with security institutions by reporting suspicious activity to help prevent future attacks.
Situation Returning to Normal
Shahid Rind stated that the overall security situation in Balochistan has improved significantly, with normal life resuming in most areas. Educational activities and public health campaigns are continuing as planned, reflecting a gradual return to stability.
Reaffirming the government’s zero-tolerance policy against terrorism, Shahid Rind said no leniency would be shown to militants, their facilitators, or supporters. He stressed that all institutions remain united in their efforts to ensure lasting peace and security in Balochistan.
