Sardar Muhammad Khondai:

Killa Abdullah: Law enforcement agencies continued their crackdown on illegal poppy cultivation and drug manufacturing in District Killa Abdullah, carrying out a coordinated operation on February 14, 2026.

The operation, conducted between 11:00 am and 3:00 pm, involved joint teams from police, security forces, anti-narcotics officials, excise authorities, and intelligence representatives. The action focused on areas of Killi Habibzai and other nearby localities, where illegal cultivation was reportedly being sustained through unauthorized irrigation systems.

During the operation, officials dismantled four tube wells that were being used to supply water to illegal crops. Additionally, 42 solar panels and one solar control unit were seized, disrupting the energy supply supporting unlawful agricultural activity. Authorities said nearly 90 acres of land benefiting from illegal irrigation were affected as a result of the action.

In a separate development, two illegal drug manufacturing facilities producing crystal meth (ice) were identified in the Norak Sulemankhel area of Tehsil Gulistan. Both facilities were set ablaze and completely destroyed to prevent further misuse.

Officials also released cumulative figures from operations carried out since January 6, 2026. Over this period, 11 drug factories have been destroyed, 744 solar panels confiscated, 32 tube wells demolished, and illegal irrigation on approximately 1,070 acres of land has been disrupted.

Authorities reiterated that the anti-poppy cultivation campaign will continue until illegal farming and drug production are fully eliminated from the district. They stressed that such actions are aimed at protecting communities, discouraging criminal networks, and restoring lawful use of land and resources.

Residents have been encouraged to support the effort by reporting illegal cultivation and drug-related activities, as authorities move forward with what they describe as a sustained and uncompromising enforcement drive.
