Pakistan’s Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of the Army Staff, Field Marshal Asim Munir, has stated that the security and stability of the United Arab Emirates are closely connected to Pakistan’s own national security.
According to the military’s media wing, the remarks were made during a meeting with the Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Adviser Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation, particularly in the areas of economic collaboration, investment, and security.
Both sides also exchanged views on regional developments and highlighted the importance of continued coordination to promote peace and stability in the region. The discussion reflected a shared commitment to addressing regional challenges through cooperation and mutual understanding.
Field Marshal Munir expressed appreciation for the UAE’s long-standing support and investments in Pakistan, acknowledging their positive impact on Pakistan’s economy and security over the years. He noted that this support reflects the deep-rooted and historic relationship between the two countries.
Reaffirming Pakistan’s position, the army chief said Islamabad remains committed to further expanding cooperation with the UAE in all sectors in a way that benefits both nations and contributes to regional peace, stability, and prosperity.
Pakistan and the UAE continue to maintain close bilateral ties, supported by regular high-level engagements and ongoing collaboration across diplomatic, economic, and security domains.
