Qaseem Shah:Â
Quetta, March 1, 2026 — Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, Chief Minister of Balochistan, on Saturday instructed the provincial police and district administration to fully cooperate with protesters and ensure that peaceful demonstrations are facilitated across the province.
In a message shared on social media platform X, the Chief Minister said that expressing grief and concern through protest is a natural reaction to painful events unfolding in neighboring regions, which he described as deeply distressing for the Muslim world.
He directed law-enforcement agencies to prioritize public safety and the maintenance of order during demonstrations, emphasizing that authorities should take all necessary steps to prevent unrest while respecting the right to peaceful assembly.
At the same time, the Chief Minister made it clear that protests must remain within the bounds of the law, warning that any attempt to damage public or state property or disrupt civic life would not be tolerated.
Calling for unity and restraint, he urged the public to channel their emotions in a responsible and peaceful manner. He added that the provincial government remains open to hearing legitimate public concerns and is committed to ensuring that protests are conducted in a civilized environment where both public sentiment and law and order are respected.
