News Desk: The Information Department of Balochistan held an important meeting in Quetta on Tuesday to review proposed amendments to the Digital Policy 2026, with a focus on strengthening digital media, government communication, and youth employment opportunities.

The meeting was chaired by Secretary Information Imran Khan and attended by Director General Public Relations (DGPR) Askar Khan along with other senior officials.

During the meeting, participants conducted a detailed review of the proposed amendments to Balochistan’s Digital Policy 2026 and discussed various measures to promote digital media development, effective dissemination of government policies, and improved public communication through modern digital platforms.

Officials emphasized that the effective use of digital platforms can significantly strengthen the connection between the government and the public, ensuring that official policies, development initiatives, and public services reach citizens more efficiently.

Speaking at the meeting, Secretary Information Imran Khan and DGPR Askar Khan said the primary objective of Digital Policy 2026 is to ensure that government policies and initiatives are communicated to the public in a modern, transparent, and effective manner.

They added that the policy also aims to create better employment opportunities for young people by equipping them with modern digital skills, enabling them to contribute positively to society while building sustainable careers in the digital economy.

Officials noted that youth are a valuable national asset, and empowering them with digital skills can help reduce negative influences while encouraging their participation in productive and innovative activities.

The meeting reaffirmed the government’s commitment to further strengthen Digital Policy 2026 in line with contemporary digital trends to enhance public awareness, government outreach, and digital opportunities for youth across Balochistan.
