A key underground tunnel used for storing technical equipment was destroyed in Kandahar as Pakistan’s armed forces carried out airstrikes in Afghanistan under Operation Ghazab Lil Haq, according to security sources.
Sources said the strikes were conducted late in the night between March 14 and 15, when Pakistani forces targeted several technical installations allegedly linked to Afghan Taliban elements and the militant group referred to by officials as Fitna al-Khawarij.
During the operation, Pakistani forces reportedly destroyed a major underground tunnel in Kandahar that was being used as a storage facility for technical equipment and logistical supplies. Security officials said the tunnel served as an important depot for militants operating in the region.
According to the sources, the airstrikes focused on infrastructure believed to support militant activities, including equipment depots and operational facilities.
Security sources further stated that Operation Ghazab Lil Haq will continue until its objectives are achieved, indicating that additional actions may follow as part of Pakistan’s efforts to counter cross-border militancy.
