Gwadar – At least three people were killed in a shooting incident on Pileri Link Road in the port city of Gwadar on Wednesday evening.

The incident occurred within the limits of Saddar Police Station. According to police officials, the victims have been identified as:

  Ghulam Qadir, son of Murad Bakhsh, resident of TTC Colony, Gwadar

  Arshad, son of Ababagr, a resident of Chabahar, Iran

  Qambar, son of Badal, resident of Kech district, Balochistan

Police said unknown armed men opened fire on the three individuals, killing them instantly. The exact motive behind the attack is not yet known, and no group has claimed responsibility.

The bodies were shifted to a nearby hospital for medico-legal examination and post-mortem. District Police Gwadar confirmed that a case has been registered and an investigation is underway from all possible angles.

“Teams have been formed to trace the culprits, and we are pursuing every lead to determine the reason behind this incident,” police sources said.

This latest violence adds to growing security concerns in Gwadar, a strategically important city that serves as the southern gateway of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). The area has witnessed several incidents of targeted killings and attacks in recent years amid regional tensions.

Authorities have appealed to local residents to share any information that could help in the investigation. Further details are expected as the probe continues.
