Federal Minister for Planning and Chief of the National Coordination Committee (NCC), Asad Umar has hinted opening of educational institutions across the country from September 15th. Talking to media after NCC meeting in Islamabad on Thursday, he said prior to formal announcement about the opening of the educational institutions, a consultative meeting would be held on September 7 to finalize recommendations.
Teachers and students would be asked to strictly follow social distancing and adopt standard operating procedure after the opening of educational institutions.
Mr. Umar, however, announced the opening of the restaurants and beauty salons from August 10th in the aftermath of the country’s successful steps in containing the deadly coronavirus. He also informed that sports activities would be allowed from August 8 without spectators since sports are very important in society.
Tourist points would also be opened from August 8 to attract tourism in the country. Pakistan had imposed lockdown in the aftermath of the outbreak of novel coronavirus this year. Various sectors are being allowed to reopen after a considerable decrease in the number of cases of COVID19.
