Web Desk: Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti highlighted Pakistan’s growing global leadership role, stating that strong civil-military coordination remains the cornerstone of national stability, security, and sustainable development. He made these remarks while addressing participants of the 55th Training Course of the Pakistan Navy War College during their visit to Quetta.

Praising the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, the chief minister said that effective civil-military synergy has delivered significant success in Pakistan’s counterterrorism efforts. He noted that Pakistan’s defense and strategic framework has become more robust, clear, and multidimensional, enabling the country to respond effectively to evolving regional security challenges and global geopolitical shifts.
Misinformation and Propaganda on Digital Platforms Targeting Youth
Discussing Balochistan’s political, security, and socio-economic landscape, Bugti emphasized the province’s geostrategic importance, describing it as central to Pakistan’s future. He said that lasting peace in Balochistan depends on continued harmony between civilian and military institutions, which has already played a vital role in improving law and order and strengthening governance.
Addressing security concerns, the chief minister rejected the perception that underdevelopment alone fuels unrest in Balochistan. He stated that anti-state elements, including actors operating from abroad, are actively attempting to destabilize Pakistan by targeting youth through misinformation and propaganda on digital platforms. He assured that state institutions are fully aware of these tactics and are responding with a comprehensive and effective counter-strategy.

Bugti reiterated that the Balochistan government has taken full ownership of the fight against terrorism and is strengthening institutional capacity to ensure long-term peace. He said significant investments are being made to enhance the operational capabilities of law enforcement agencies, including Balochistan Police and the Counter Terrorism Department, to build a sustainable security framework across the province.
Zero Tolerance for Violence Against the State
Focusing on youth empowerment, the chief minister described young people as Pakistan’s most valuable asset and stressed the importance of integrating them into the national mainstream. He said government policies are centered on youth development, merit, transparency, and inclusive dialogue. He added that, for the first time in Balochistan’s history, a comprehensive youth policy has been introduced to empower youth, expand opportunities, and ensure their active participation in the province’s development.
He further stated that the concerns of youth are being heard and addressed seriously, with a commitment to resolving grievances through engagement and policy reforms. However, he made it clear that there will be zero tolerance for violence against the state, emphasizing that those who choose the path of militancy will face strict action.
Reaffirming his vision, Mir Sarfraz Bugti said the government will continue to prioritize merit-based governance, institutional strengthening, and continuous youth engagement to drive economic growth, political stability, and long-term peace in Balochistan. He vowed to defeat all attempts to destabilize Pakistan and ensure a peaceful, secure, and prosperous future for the province.
