​QUETTA – Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti has highly praised the bravery of a young man, Razzaq Tarakai, calling him an “Iron Man” for his heroic efforts to save a female doctor during a horrific acid attack at the Provincial Civil Hospital Quetta. The CM also announced civil award for the Iron man.
​The victim, Dr. Mahnoor Nasir, was targeted by a hospital employee on Saturday. During the brutal assault, young Razzaq Tarakai put his own life at risk to shield the lady doctor from further harm, sustaining burn injuries in the process.
​Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti contacted the brave young man to express his deep admiration for his immense courage and noble gesture. The Chief Minister declared that Razzaq Tarakai has set an absolute example of humanity by risking his life for another.
​CM Bugti directed the health authorities to ensure the best possible medical treatment and provide all possible official support to the injured young man. Meanwhile, on the direct orders of the Chief Minister, the injured lady doctor has been airlifted to Karachi via air ambulance for advanced burn care. Officials confirmed that the desperate suspect was later killed in a police encounter while attempting to flee Quetta
