Web Desk: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has ordered an immediate and impartial investigation into a shocking family tragedy in Quetta’s Wahdat Colony, where six members of a family lost their lives in a suspected murder-suicide incident. Following directives from the Chief Minister of Balochistan, all officials involved in the case have been officially suspended. A formal notification has been issued by the government to implement the orders immediately. An inquiry into the matter is expected to follow.

According to police, a man identified as Asif Ali allegedly shot and killed his wife and four children inside their home before taking his own life. The incident has sent shockwaves across the provincial capital and raised concerns about the circumstances leading to the deaths.

Law enforcement officials said the bodies were shifted to hospital for post-mortem examinations and other legal formalities. An FIR has been registered, while investigators have begun collecting evidence and recording statements to establish the motive behind the incident.

Taking strict notice of the tragedy, Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti directed authorities to conduct a transparent, professional, and comprehensive inquiry. He instructed relevant departments to examine every aspect of the case and submit a detailed report.

Balochistan government spokesperson Shahid Rind said the provincial administration is committed to uncovering all facts surrounding the incident. He described the deaths as deeply tragic and said all available resources are being utilized to ensure a fair and thorough investigation.

“The government believes in complete transparency and the rule of law,” Rind said, adding that no individual or institution would be exempt from scrutiny if found connected to any aspect of the case.

He further stated that the findings of the investigation would be shared publicly after its completion to prevent speculation and ensure accountability.

Police officials said investigations are ongoing, and authorities are examining all possible angles to determine what led to one of the deadliest family-related incidents reported in Quetta in recent years.
