DUKI, Balochistan – A police officer was martyred and another sustained injuries following an armed assault on the Narhan Police Station late Tuesday night, according to official police sources.
​Police authorities stated that a group of unidentified attackers targeted the station using rocket launchers and heavy weaponry. The personnel on duty reportedly retaliated, triggering a fierce exchange of fire that ultimately forced the assailants to flee the scene.
​Casualties Confirmed by Authorities
​According to local police sources, the casualties from the late-night clash have been identified as:
​Syed Hassan, a police officer whom authorities confirmed was martyred in the line of duty.
​Wali Muhammad, an officer who was injured during the exchange of fire and is currently receiving medical care.
​”The attackers used sophisticated, heavy weaponry, including rocket launchers,” a police source stated. “However, our personnel fought back courageously, forcing them to retreat into the darkness. Tragically, one of our brave officers was martyred, and another was wounded during the encounter.”
​Security Response and Search Operation
​Following the incident, a heavy contingent of law enforcement personnel, led by Superintendent of Police (SP) Duki, Mansoor Ahmed Buzdar, was dispatched to the area to secure the perimeter and reinforce local defenses.
​Police sources confirmed that security forces have cordoned off the locality and launched a comprehensive search operation to track down the fleeing suspects. No group has officially claimed responsibility for the attack.
