ISLAMABAD — In a high-level move to address the escalating security challenges in Balochistan, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti held a detailed meeting at Zardari House in Islamabad on Saturday.

The leaders engaged in a comprehensive discussion covering the province’s overall political, administrative, and law-and-order situation.

Judicial Commission Formed Over Ziarat Incident

During the briefing, Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti updated the PPP Chairman on the government’s administrative responses following recent wave of terrorism in the province.

Crucially, the Chief Minister revealed that the provincial government has taken decisive steps to support the grieving families of the Ziarat tragedy. In line with the victims’ demands, a judicial commission has been officially established to investigate the incident and bring the facts to light.

All-Parties Conference (APC) on the Horizon

In a bid to foster political harmony and establish sustainable peace, CM Bugti announced that Balochistan will soon host an All-Parties Conference (APC).

”We are inviting political entities from both inside and outside the parliament,” Bugti stated. “The goal is to draft a unified, consensus-driven strategy to counter terrorism and restore long-term stability to the region.”

Bilawal Backs Dialogue, Pays Tribute to Martyrs

Expressing deep solidarity, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari paid rich tribute to the brave soldiers of the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps (FC), and police personnel who laid down their lives in recent terror attacks.

”I deeply feel the pain and grief of the families who lost their loved ones in these tragic incidents,” Bilawal said, offering his heartfelt condolences.

The PPP Chairman lauded CM Sarfraz Bugti’s responsible handling of the crisis, particularly his efforts to provide closure to the Ziarat victims’ families and steer the negotiation process toward success. He also extended his gratitude to the opposition parties for playing a constructive role in the talks.

Political Dialogue is the Only Way Forward

Reaffirming his party’s core philosophy, Bilawal emphasized that bullets cannot solve deep-rooted issues.

The Path to Peace: “The permanent solution to Balochistan’s political issues lies solely in dialogue and political engagement,” Bilawal asserted. He reiterated that the PPP has always championed meaningful dialogue with all political forces, whether in government or opposition.

Unwavering Stance on Terror: The Chairman concluded by reaffirming that the PPP’s stance against terrorism remains rock-solid and uncompromising, vowing that the party will continue to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with state institutions and the public to eradicate the menace.
