Web Desk: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has commended the Pakistan Army, security forces, and law enforcement agencies for carrying out successful intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in Surab and Mastung, saying the actions disrupted terrorist networks and strengthened the province’s fight against terrorism.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, Bugti said the operations conducted during the last 48 hours resulted in the elimination of terrorists, the destruction of terrorist hideouts, and the detention of suspects allegedly linked to planned suicide attacks. He described the developments as an important milestone in ongoing counterterrorism efforts across Balochistan.
The chief minister said the success of the intelligence-led operations reflected the professionalism, coordination, and operational capabilities of Pakistan’s security institutions. He noted that timely action by security and law enforcement agencies had helped neutralize security threats and reinforce efforts to maintain peace in the province.
Reaffirming the provincial government’s commitment to public safety, Bugti said the Balochistan government would continue extending full support to the Pakistan Army and other law enforcement agencies in their efforts to combat terrorism. He added that ensuring the protection of citizens and preserving law and order remain among the government’s highest priorities.
The chief minister also expressed confidence that close coordination between the federal government, provincial administration, and security agencies would further strengthen counterterrorism operations, paving the way for lasting peace, improved security, and sustainable development across Balochistan.
