QUETTA: As Pakistan’s Independence Day approaches, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti have expressed appreciation for a new patriotic song emerging from Balochistan, describing it as a reflection of the province’s enduring love for Pakistan.
In separate messages shared on social media, both leaders praised the singers, performers, producers and others involved in the musical project, highlighting its patriotic spirit ahead of August 14.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said he was proud to see such a beautiful and patriotic song coming from Balochistan. He expressed his heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to everyone involved in the effort, saying the song had beautifully captured the spirit of love for the country.
“Pakistan Zindabad!” the prime minister said in his message.
Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti also welcomed the patriotic tribute, saying Balochistan’s land had long echoed with patriotism, sacrifice and an unwavering love for Pakistan.
Bugti said the song reflected the true spirit of the people of Balochistan as the nation prepares to celebrate the blessings of independence.
The messages come as preparations for Pakistan’s Independence Day celebrations gather pace across the country. August 14 is marked every year with national flags, ceremonies, cultural programmes and patriotic songs.
The new musical tribute from Balochistan has added to the festive atmosphere, highlighting the province’s cultural contribution to national celebrations and the role of music in expressing patriotic sentiments.
Both leaders extended their appreciation to those who contributed to the production, with their messages underscoring the significance of unity, patriotism and national pride as Pakistan prepares to celebrate another Independence Day.
