News Desk: Pakistan has strongly condemned the latest Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia, calling them a serious violation of the kingdom’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The Foreign Office (FO) said the attacks by Yemen’s Houthi movement pose a threat to peace and stability in the Middle East and could undermine ongoing efforts to achieve a peaceful and lasting solution to the Yemen conflict.
Pakistan reiterated its firm support for Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty, security and territorial integrity, expressing complete solidarity with the Saudi leadership, government and people.
The Foreign Office also conveyed its wishes for the early and full recovery of people injured in the attacks.
According to the statement, Pakistan recognises Saudi Arabia’s legitimate right under the UN Charter and international law to take necessary measures to defend its territory, protect its citizens and residents, and safeguard national assets against threats.
Islamabad further stressed that it would continue supporting efforts aimed at promoting lasting peace, regional stability and security.
