QUETTA: Students seeking admission to BS Nursing and BS Allied Health Sciences programmes in Balochistan have urged the provincial government and Bolan University of Medical & Health Sciences (BUMHS) to end uncertainty over the admission process.
Speaking at a press conference, the students demanded that the NCAT test and final Allied Health Sciences merit list be announced before the MDCAT examination som that candidates can make informed decisions about their academic future.
The students said the lack of a clear admission timeline was creating anxiety among applicants who are waiting to know when the entrance test will be held, when results will be announced and when the final merit lists will be issued.
They warned that if the NCAT test and final Allied Health Sciences merit list are not announced before MDCAT, students will hold a protest sit-in at the main gate of the MDCAT test centre on September 20.
Students Demand Complete Admission Schedule
The students called for a transparent and clearly defined admission schedule covering the entire process.
Their demands include:
– A clear date for submission of admission documents.
– Announcement of the NCAT entrance test date.
– A specific date for the test results.
– Fixed dates for the Tentative and Final Merit Lists.
– Announcement of the date on which classes will begin.
The students said timely decisions from BUMHS and the provincial government would help candidates avoid confusion and plan their academic choices accordingly.
They appealed to the authorities to address their concerns before the MDCAT examination and ensure that the BS Nursing and Allied Health Sciences admission process is completed in a tran sparent and timely manner.
