KHUZDAR — Four people lost their lives and several others, including women and children, sustained injuries during a shooting late September 10 in the Sunaro area of Wadh tehsil, Khuzdar district.
​Following the incident, local residents gathered along the main Quetta–Karachi National Highway to stage a protest, temporarily disrupting traffic movement across both directions of the critical artery. Long queues of stranded vehicles formed as demonstrators placed the victims’ remains on the road to draw attention to the incident.
​Local reports indicate the firing occurred around 10:00 PM in Killi Yar Muhammad Garganari, Sunaro. According to community members present at the protest, those killed were local residents and daily laborers.
​Demonstrators are calling on local authorities and law enforcement agencies to initiate a transparent investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting and identify those responsible. Authorities have yet to release an official statement regarding the perpetrators or the primary cause of the attack.
