Syed Muhammad Waseem: A powerful explosion completely destroyed the historic Madina Hotel in Khadkocha on the Quetta-Karachi National Highway in Mastung district on Tuesday, causing extensive damage to nearby property.
According to local sources, unidentified individuals used explosives to target the hotel, leaving the entire building in ruins.
The blast also completely destroyed a nearby grocery shop, while around 250 solar panels installed for nearby tube wells were reportedly damaged by the intensity of the explosion.
Several houses in the surrounding area were also affected, with windowpanes shattered due to the powerful blast, sources said.
No casualties were immediately reported in the explosion.
The incident took place in the Khadkocha area of Mastung along the Quetta-Karachi National Highway. Authorities have yet to determine the nature of the explosives used in the attack or identify those responsible.
