QUETTA: Government of Balochistan has decided to establish 100 bedded hospital at Pak-Iran border Taftan to cope with any emergency situation regarding corona virus. The hospital would be set up by provincial disaster management authority to tackle any emergency. The government has made this decision in aftermath of death of four people in Iran by corona virus.
The Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan has spoken to Prime Minister Imran Khan regarding corona virus on Saturday. In a tweet, the chief minister said he had a communication with Prime Minister Imran Khan and federal health minister about corona virus.
The Chief Minister stated that he was personally monitoring the situation with regard to the deadly corona virus in the province. The deadly virus has claimed hundreds of precious human lives in Chinese province of Wuhan during last few days. The fatal virus has spread across the globe causing panic and the world health organization has declared emergency to cope with the emerging situation.
At Pak-Iran border, seven doctors were deployed to conduct screening of people coming from Iran into Pakistan in the aftermath of corona virus related deaths in Iran. Spokesman government of Balochistan Liaqat Shahwani in a tweet mentioned that 10 K corona masks, ambulances and other equipment were dispatched to Taftan.
The Chief Minister has directed all district headquarters to prepare a plan to deal with the deadly virus. Though, no corona virus case has been reported from any part of the country so far. Mr. Jam Kamal has also spoken to adviser on health Dr. Zafarullah about the corona virus.
