A deadly traffic accident in Balochistan’s Sibi district has claimed 13 lives and injured another 18 on Sunday. Levies sources said a Mazda truck collided with a passenger wagon near Mithri Sibi on the national highway.
The deadly traffic accident left 13 passengers dead and 18 injured. The heartbreaking images of the deadly traffic accident were shared on social media, which prompted strict reactions from people demanding the Balochistan government to check over-speeding, over-loading and condition of vehicles on highways.
Levies sources said the passenger wagon was over-loaded with passengers and almost all victims were from the wagon. The injured were rushed to Sibi district headquarters hospital for medical treatment. The condition of three injured persons was stated serious, Dr. Lal Magsi at Sibi hospital told the daily Quetta Voice.
“13 dead bodies have been brought to the hospital”, Dr. Magsi stated.
Senior doctors and paramedics were called to make sure the provision of timely medical treatment to the injured of the traffic accident. The dead also includes two children and a woman, Levies stated.
Spokesman government of Balochistan, Liaquat Shahwani in a statement expressed grief and sorrows over the loss of precious human lives during the accident. He directed the Sibi administration to make sure the provision of better health facilities to the injured of the traffic accident.
