QUETTA: The Balochistan government has directed the provincial home and tribal affairs department that there should be no movement of Zaireen (Shia pilgrims) from Pakistan into Iran. The decision has been made by the provincial government in the aftermath of corona virus related deaths in neighboring Iran.
The additional chief secretary home has been directed to coordinate with sister provinces in this regard and make sure no movement of Zaireen is made via Pak-Iran border Taftan. The concerned quarters have been asked to check the present status of Zaireen at Taftan.

Spokesman government of Balochistan, Liaqat Shahwani said that thousands of Shia pilgrims were still in Iran and on their way to Pakistan via Taftan border. The government has also deployed 10 doctors at the border to conduct screening of people entering into Pakistan from Iran.
The government has already established isolation wards in two major hospitals of Quetta, the provincial capital of Balochistan to cope with any emergency situation in future.
