In Balochistan, 11,861 patients of COVID19 have recovered since the outbreak of the pandemic. Most of the patients have recovered from the deadly virus at their homes in isolation. The mortality rate in Balochistan is quite low as compared to other parts of the country, Liaquat Shahwani, the Spokesman provincial government told reporters.
The virus has caused 145 deaths in the province, Mr. Shahwani informed
The Corona Cell Balochistan reported 63 cases of the COVID19 on Sunday. The number of cases in the province reached 13,292 in the province. The number of cases has risen recently.
Balochistan has until now conducted over 77,000 tests of the deadly virus. “The government has decided to improve testing capacity”, Mr. Shahwani said. He said lockdown in the province has been eased following a decline in the number of cases.
The provincial government has decided to establish laboratories at Khuzdar, Loralai, and Turbat to reach out to the maximum number of patients. Currently, the Fatima Jinnah Chest and General Hospital is conducting tests of the patients. Similarly, all serious patients are also admitted to the hospital in its intensive care unit.
Government orders wearing masks
Balochistan government has also declared wearing masks necessary for entry into government offices. “No entry without masks“, the Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD) issued a notification a few days back. However, people hardly follow the government’s orders.
The virus has affected all 33 districts of the province. However, Quetta, Pishin, Killa Abdullah, Jaffarabad, Mastung, Chaghi districts have been hit hard by the virus. The provincial health department has confirmed 145 deaths caused by the virus. Although, ground realities negate the government’s statistics.
The death ratio a few months back was high in the above-mentioned districts as compared to the last year. The virus killed aged people.
