CTSP teachers candidates protest near Balochistan Assembly

QUETTA: Hundreds of candidates short-listed by a testing service i.e CTSP for vacancies in various categories of teachers staged a protest demonstration outside Balochistan Assembly on Tuesday. The protesters blocked the main Zarghoon road linking the red zone with Balochistan Assembly during a prolonged demonstration.
Citizens remained the worst sufferers to reach their destinations as a result of protest demonstration near the Balochistan Assembly. The city’s high-security zone witnessed the worst traffic jam as a result of the protest.
“Why government adopting delaying tactics in the issuance of our orders”, Najeebullah, one of the short-listed candidates told Quetta Voice. He had qualified for the post of a junior English teacher from Balochistan’s district Pishin.
Tests, Interviews conducted for over 9,000 vacancies of teachers
The Balochistan education department had conducted tests and interviews for over 9,000 vacancies of teachers across the province during 2019. The testing service CTSP prepared the merit of all 33 districts of the province. However, successful candidates are yet to get their orders.
“We will continue our protest till issuance of orders”, Kifayatullah, another emotionally charged candidate said. He demanded of the education department to issue appointment orders to successful candidates.
Political leaders also joined the protest
Provincial ministers including Zamarak Khan Achakzai, Noor Muhammad Dumar, Malik Naeem Bazai, and other political leaders also joined the protest demonstration of successful candidates. The provincial ministers and political leaders backed the demand of protestors and assured them the solution to their issues.
The Secretary Secondary Education Balochistan, Sher Khan Bazai also met with protesters. “We are waiting for the final lists of district recruitment committees”, Mr. Bazai told Quetta Voice. Mr. Bazai said the department has no issue with appointments of candidates and waiting for the completion of the process.
