Railway track blown up near Mach Balochistan

Unknown miscreants have blown up railway track in Hirak area near Mach district Bolan in the wee hours of Sunday. Levies sources said unknown miscreants had planted an improvised explosive device near a railway track in the Hirak area in the Bolan district of Balochistan province.
No human loss reported as a result of the blast. However, a small portion of the track damaged in the IED blast. The blast caused the suspension of train service between Balochistan and other parts of the country. Almost one-kilogram explosive materials used in the attack, levies said.
The departure of Jaffar Express affected
Railway sources said the departure of Rawalpindi bound Jaffar Express affected after a blast damaging the railway track. They however said repair work started at the track. “Very soon, the track will be repaired”, sources said.
Levies and frontier corps personnel reached the spot as an investigation into the incident went underway. They cordoned off the area to probe into the incident.
Damaged track repaired
The administration ensured early repair of the damaged portion of the railway track, Madam Alia Sarpara, an official of the Pakistan Railways said. She said train service resumed between Balochistan and other parts of the country.
Railway tracks in the past have also been blown up through IEDs causing the suspension of train service between Balochistan and other parts of the country. Blasts at passenger trains and tracks have claimed precious human lives in the past. Balochistan has been under the grip of violence for last more than a decade.
