Pari Gul Tareen Balochistan’s first female PSP officer posted as ASP Quetta

QUETTA: Pari Gul Tareen, Balochistan’s first female PSP officer has been posted as the Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Quetta Cantonment on Monday. The Balochistan police department issued a notification of transfers and postings of nine officers including Pari Gul.

Pari Gul Tareen had passed the Central Superior Services (CSS) competitive examination during 2017 and then joined the police force. She is the first female PSP police officer posted in the province.

She got 4th position in the CSS examination across the province. Pari Gul Tareen belongs to Balochistan‘s Pishin district. She got her master’s degree in English literature in 2015 from NUML university.

It is pertinent to mention here, another girl Kainat Azhar Khan who also belongs to Balochistan has done her CSS in 2018 and allocated to the PSP group, she is still under training.

Despite all odds and tribal taboos, Pari Gul Tareen kept continued her struggle and finally qualified for the CSS examination with a better score in 2017. Earlier this year, a girl from Quetta’s Hazara community, Farwa Batool got the first position across Balochistan in the CSS examination. Farwa had also struggled throughout her life to serving the country and nation.

People belonging to various walks of life have praised female officers from Balochistan for passing the prestigious CSS examination.
