Transparency, merit ensure good governance: CM Balochistan

QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan on Tuesday said transparency and merit can ensure good governance in the country. “Transparency reflects the performance of any government”, he expressed these views while addressing a seminar regarding anti-corruption day.

Jam Kamal stated that transparency can only be ensured in a society when an individual prefers the country’s interest rather than personal ones. Chief Secretary captain (R) Fazeel Asghar, Vice-Chancellor University of Balochistan, Dr. Shafiq ur Rehman, Inspector General Police, Mohsin Hassan Butt, Director NAB Farmanullah Khan, secretary information Irfan Shah Gharsheen and others also participated in the seminar.

Jam Kamal said, “we have to pinpoint and condemn wrong decisions besides corruption”. He however said his government committed to upholding the banner of transparency and good governance in Balochistan.

Delayed decisions, injustices ruined our society

Delayed decisions and injustices ruined our society, he said, adding that no society can progress without justice and equality. He said awareness needs to be created among the masses with regard to corruption and a strong mechanism was important to eradicate the curse of corruption from society.

Jam Kamal stated that for the first time transparency and merit ensured in the distribution of development funds in Balochistan. All areas have been given just share in terms of development funds, he added.
