Thousands of illegal immigrants make abortive attempts to reach Europe

Every year, thousands of illegal immigrants make abortive attempts to reach Greece and other European countries for getting jobs. They use unfrequented routes at the Pak-Iran border and sneak into Iran with the support of human traffickers.

Very few of these illegal immigrants reach European countries. However, most of them are caught in Iran and Turkey. Growing unemployment and poverty force a large number of youngsters to seek jobs in European countries. Youngsters from Balochistan province are also trying to sneak into Iran to reach European countries.

Pakistan had also established an inter-agency task force comprising frontier corps, FIA, levies, and police to stop human smuggling.
