BHC summons officials regarding kidnapping of Asad Achakzai

The Balochistan High Court (BHC) has summoned officials regarding the kidnapping of Awami National Party (ANP) leader Asad Khan Achakzai. The judge of the BHC Mr. Justice Abdul Hameed Baloch declared the application admissible and summoned the concerned officials about the incident.

Amjad Khan Achakzai, the brother of Asad Achakzai had failed a petition regarding the whereabouts of his brother. Senior lawyers including Naseebullah Tareen advocate, Munir Ahmed Kakar advocate, Asif Reki advocate and others appeared as counsel for Mr. Achakzai before the court.

The judge declared the application admissible and summoned the concerned officials.

ANP leader Asad Achakzai has gone missing on September 25, 2020 when he was coming to Quetta from his native city of Chaman. The brother of ANP leader had lodged an FIR in the airport police station.

ANP supporters also staged a protest demonstration in Quetta to press the government for the recovery of its leader. Mian Iftikhar Hussain and former chief minister Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa, Amir Haider Khan Hoti, Asghar Khan Achakzai and others addressed the rally.

The ANP leaders demanded unhurt recovery of Asad Achakzai. The party supporters also chanted slogans for the safe recovery of Asad Achakzai.
