QUETTA: The Balochistan Chief Minister, Jam Kamal Khan paid a visit to Fatima Jinnah Chest and TB hospital on Sunday evening. Secretary health, Muddasar Waheed, senior chest physician Dr. Shireen Khan and other high ups accompanied the chief minister during the visit.

The Balochistan government has established an isolation ward in the hospital to keep the corona virus patients. The chief minister visited the isolation ward where the patients are kept. Senior chest physician, Dr. Shireen Khan and MS of the hospital Dr. Noorullah Musakhail thoroughly briefed the chief minister about the arrangements regarding the treatment of corona virus patients.

According to sources in health department, currently a 12 year old boy tested positive for the deadly corona virus has been kept in the ward. However, some suspected cases were being investigated in the laboratory.

The Balochistan government has closed all administrative departments in civil secretariat, all educational institutions to halt the spread of deadly corona virus in the province. The government has suspended all functions, training and activities in the wake of increasing cases of corona virus in the province.

First Corona case confirmed in Quetta

In Balochistan, the health department has confirmed 10 cases of corona virus so far. Liaquat Shahwani, the Spokesman government of Balochistan has said that four patients belong to Balochistan and remaining six patients belong to other parts of the country.

Arzak Khan, a senior officer of NADRA Balochistan has also confirmed to Quetta Voice that registration of Ehsas program was also suspended across the province. Mr.  Khan said that the program was suspended following instructions of Prime  Minister Imran Khan. The registration was currently underway in various districts of  Balochistan.
