Robbers kill a first-class cricketer in Chaman

Armed robbers opened fire and killed the first-class cricketer in Chaman, Pakistan’s bordering city with Afghanistan on Saturday evening. Muhammad Naeem, the first-class cricketer was going to his home motorcycle when killed by robbers, police said.
“We want the arrest of killers”, Malik Abdul Shakoor, a tribal elder demanded. The incident happened in the Killi Salehzai area of Chaman. The protesters blocked the main road and burnt tires to vent their anger.
Protesters brought the dead body outside the DC Chaman’s office
The heirs and local tribesmen brought the dead body near the office of Deputy Commissioner Killa Abdullah at Chaman in protest over the incident. The heirs and tribesmen have been demanding the arrest of the culprits involved in the murder.
Secretary Sports calls for the arrest of culprits
“This is really shocking news”, Imran Gichki, the Balochistan Secretary Sports said. He demanded the arrest of the culprits involved in the incident.
The protesters refused to end the sit-in despite repeated requests and assurances by the district administration. Assistant Commissioner Chaman, Saleem Kakar asked the protesters to end the protest and assured the arrest of the culprits involved in the incident.
Home Minister takes notice of the incident
Home Minister Balochistan, Mir Ziaullah Langove strongly condemned the incident and directed the administration to arrest the culprits. He also directed the police to submit a report in this regard.
Sit-in ended
Protesters ended their sit-in following an assurance by the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Syed Farooq Shah. Mr. Shah assured that the administration would ensure the arrest of the culprits involved in the incident.
