The demise of Professor Jamsheed

The sudden or anticipated death of Professor Jamsheed, a well-known educationist of Balochistan was a traumatic event. The famous educationist died of protracted illness the other day.
Students, colleagues, and people have been mourning his demise. The institution of education, which was already faced with a host of issues in Balochistan, has confronted with such a loss. The professor had rendered great services for the promotion of education in general and English as a language in particular.
Professor spent whole life in educating people
Professor Jamsheed spent almost his whole life in Quetta educating the people of this province. He was a very significant person in the lives of students. Therefore, the death of Professor Jamsheed is a stressful event for his students.
Most of his students are in important positions in government institutions. The late professor was the founder of the Pakistan English Coaching Center (PECC) that produced provincial secretaries, political figures, lawyers, journalists, doctors, etc. As the head of the PECC, the late professor had kept a special discount fee for needy and deserving students. The PECC served to be one of the pioneer organizations in enabling the students of this backward province to speak in accurate and fluent English.
The death of Professor Jamsheed is felt among teachers and other staff members because of professional and social bonds that develop over time.
In worsening law and order situation, the professor kept continued teaching
Professor Jamsheed kept continued teaching sons and daughters of this province when there were rampant targeted killings of teachers. The worsening law and order situation claimed scores of precious human lives in Balochistan. Teachers were also targeted.
However, the late Professor continued his educational journey despite threats and intimidation.
Out of way, he used to grant admissions to poor and deserving students at Degree College Quetta. Most of the students belonging to far-flung areas of Balochistan would come to Quetta to study in degree college. This province needs teachers like Professor Jamsheed who spread the cause of education despite all odds.
