Balochistan Govt imposes ban on all business, tourist activities from May 8 to 16

The Balochistan government on Thursday imposed a complete ban on all business and tourist activities from May 8 to May 16 in the province. Spokesman government of Balochistan, Liaquat Shahwani said except medical stores, shops of necessary items, all shopping malls, shops, and markets would remain closed in Quetta and other parts of Balochistan.

The provincial government has taken this step in the aftermath of increasing cases of the COVID19 in Balochistan. Quetta and other parts of the province have seen sharp rise in the number of COVID19 cases during last few days.

Jewllary, cosmetics and other shops would also remain closed in Quetta, Mr. Shahwani said. Apart from this, there would be a complete ban on all tourist activities in the province. Roads leading to Balochistan’s tourist point Ziarat, Pir Ghaib, Bolan, Chitok, Hazar Ganji and other would remain closed during this period, Mr. Shahwani stated.
