Quetta: 2 suspected Congo patients admitted to hospital

Two patients likely to be suffering from Congo virus admitted to Fatima Jinnah Hospital Quetta on Sunday.
The patients belonging to Zhob and Muslim Bagh areas were brought to the hospital with bleeding from mouth and nose and high fever.
The hospital officials said that the patients were admitted to the isolation ward of the hospital.
“We have conducted tests of both patients”, Dr. Noorullah Musakhail, the Superintendent of Fatima Jinnah Chest and General Hospital said.
Precautionary measures adopted
Mr. Musakhail said all precautionary measures were being adopted for the treatment of both the patients.
The patients contracted the virus after their close contact with livestock.
The virus continues to affect shepherds and the people involved in the routine animal business in Balochistan’s Loralai, Killa Saifullah districts.
All health protocols have been adopted and no outsider is allowed to interact with patients, sources informed.
