Health department Balochistan divided into two administrative departments

Quetta: The Balochistan government has divided the health department into two separate administrative departments. The Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD) issued a notification in this regard on Tuesday.

“The government has decided to divide health department into two separate administrative departments in the interest of public service”, the notification said.

 

The first part of the health department is the primary and secondary healthcare department. However, the second part of the department is declared as specialized healthcare and medical education department.

Health department has over 22,000 employees across the province

Balochistan’s health department is the second-largest department after education with more than 22,000 employees including 5,000 doctors serving in various parts of the province. The Balochistan government had allocated Rs. 32 billion in the financial budget for the year 2020-2021
