Death toll rises to 2619 in Corona Virus cases across the globe on Monday morning. According to reports, the deadly virus has affected around 80000 across the globe. 29 deaths have been reported outside China including South Korea, Iran, Itlay and elsewhere around the world.
Corona Virus cases in the region especially in Iran and Afghanistan have sent alarm bells in Pakistan as well. Pakistan has closed its immigration at the 900 km long border with neighboring Iran. “We have closed the border and declared emergency in all five bordering districts with Iran”, Home Minister Balochistan, Ziaullah Langove told Quetta Voice. He said health teams were deployed at all points to cope with any emergency situation.
The provincial disaster management authority has also been directed to set up a 100 bed tent hospital at Pak-Iran border Taftan to tackle any emergency situation, Imran Zarkoon, the director general PDMA Balochistan said. He said ambulances and 10 K corona masks were dispatched to the bordering town in the wake of deaths caused by corona virus in neighboring Iran .
The health ministry in Iran had confirmed the death of eight people by the deadly virus, which has caused panic worldwide. The ministry has also said that a total of 43 corona virus cases were confirmed in Iran.
Pakistan has also asked the Iranian authorities not to allow over 5000 Shia pilgrims to enter into Pakistan. We will allow the pilgrims after verification and screening of them by Iranian health ministry, Liaqat Shahwani, the spokesman government of Balochistan said. However, the Chief Secretary Balochistan Captain (R) Fazeel Asghar has mentioned that the pilgrims would be kept in 14 days vigilance after their entry into Pakistan.
