CHAMAN: A powerful blast has rocked Chaman, Pakistan’s bordering town with Afghanistan on Friday evening. Police said eight people were injured in the blast that rocked the entire bordering city.
The bomb went off near the Levies line Chaman. The injured were rushed nearby civil hospital Chaman for medical treatment. Emergency was declared in the hospital to treat the injured of the blast. Police and personnel of other law enforcement agencies reached the spot as investigation into the incident went underway. A police official who declined to be named told Quetta Voice that Tehsildar Abdul Raziq Tareen’s vehicle was targeted in the attack. He said Risaldar major of levies was also along with Tehsildar at the time of blast. The bomb was planted in a motorcycle parked out side the levies line in Chaman.
Spokesman Government of Balochistan, Liaqat Shahwani strongly condemned the terrorist attack in a statement. He said that the Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan has ordered police to submit report about the blast.
