QUETTA: First case of corona virus has been confirmed in Quetta, Balochistan’s provincial capital on Tuesday night. A 12 year old boy has been tested positive for the deadly virus, Noorullah Musakheil, the medical superintendent of Fatima Jinnah Chest TB hospital confirmed.

The boy belongs to Sindh’s Dadu area . The boy was admitted on Monday and his samples were sent  to laboratory for test. Today, his samples were found positive, Mr. Musakhail said. This is first case of corona virus in Balochistan, he said. However, blood samples/ tests of other relatives of the boy were found negative after laboratory test.  The boy has been sent to the isolation ward and his treatment has been started, Liaqat Shahwani, the Spokesman government of Balochistan said in a statement on Tuesday night.

He said that the boy was already a Thalesmia patient. In Pakistan, a total of 18 corona virus cases were confirmed in Pakistan. Pakistan has already shut down its borders with Iran and Afghanistan to halt the deadly corona virus in the country. https://quettavoice.com/2020/03/10/coronavirus-death-toll-passes-4000-globally/

The Balochistan government has completed the screening of more than 70000 people in Quetta and other parts of the province.
