A Pakistan Air Force (PAF) F-16 aircraft crashed near Shakarparian, Islamabad on Wednesday. The aircraft was engaged in rehearsals for the March 23 parade, an air force spokesperson confirmed.

Rescue teams have been dispatched towards the site of the crash. A board of inquiry has been ordered by Air Headquarters to determine the cause of accident, the statement added. “We are ascertaining the losses”, the Spokesman quoted by news agencies said.  Shakarparian is a hill in the federal capital near Zero point.
