QUETTA: The government of Balochistan has ordered the complete lockdown of Hazara Town and Marriabad and disconnection of the pre-dominantly Hazara population from the rest of Quetta city.

This decision was made by the Balochistan government to contain the novel coronavirus in the city. Spokesman government of Balochistan, Liaquat Shahwani said both areas of the city would be disconnected for an indefinite period. “Order has been issued in this regard”, Mr. Shahwani tweeted on Wednesday evening.

The government has also decided to disconnect Quetta from other parts of Balochistan to contain the novel coronavirus in the province. Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan chaired a high-level meeting of the apex committee to review arrangements and made important decisions in this regard.
