QUETTA: In Balochistan, 119 patients of novel coronavirus have recovered up till now. 113 patients recovered in Sheikh Zayed Hospital, 6 in Nokundi and one patient has recovered in isolation in a house in Quetta, Spokesman government of Balochistan, Liaquat Shahwani said.

The patients have been discharged from hospital and sent to their homes, Mr Shahwani said. The number of patients of coronavirus has risen to 230 so far. The province has so far confirmed 2 deaths as a result of the novel coronavirus.

The Balochistan government had specified Sheikh Zayed Hospital as a special treatment centre for coronavirus patients in Quetta. However, isolation wards for the patients were also established at Fatima Jinnah Chest and TB hospital and Bolan Medical Complex Hospital to tackle any emergency situation in the wake of coronavirus cases.

The Balochistan government has imposed lockdown across the province to contain the virus and announced incentives for health professionals to battle the COVID-19.
