The Balochistan government on Sunday approved health professional allowance for nurses on the recommendations of the recently formed health committee. Nurses serving in grade 16 to grade 19 would be paid Rs. 10,000 extra by the Balochistan government as health professional allowance, said in a notification issued by the finance department.

Chief Minister, Jam Kamal Khan approved the extra health professional allowance in view of the global outbreak of COVID-19. The Balochistan government had earlier approved risk allowance for nurses and paramedics serving in the health department government of Balochistan.

After approval of this allowance, there would be an extra financial burden of Rs. 18 crore monthly on Balochistan government.
