Balochistan Govt allocates Rs.6 billion for treatment of cancer, heart patients

10,927 people have been tested positive for the novel coronavirus across the country. Most of the cases have been reported from Pakistan’s populous province Punjab. Up till now, the virus has caused 230 deaths and 2,156 have recovered in the country.

The Balochistan government confirmed 552 cases of a novel coronavirus, the Spokesman government of Balochistan Liaquat Shahwnai said. However, the province has confirmed eight deaths caused by the novel coronavirus so far.

Mr. Shahwani told daily Quetta Voice so far the virus has caused six deaths and 167 people have recovered in the province. He said new cases were the result of local spread in the province. In Balochistan, most of the patients tested positive for the virus were Zaireen (Shia Pilgrims ) returning from Iran.

Elsewhere in Pakistan, the Punjab province has confirmed 4,706, Sindh 3,671 KhyberPukhtoonkhwa 1,453, Islamabad 204, GB 290 and 48 people have died in Azad Jammu Kashmir. The data has been collected by daily Quetta Voice from various news agencies and other web sources surfaced after COVID-19.
