QUETTA: The cases of novel coronavirus have reached 915 in Balochistan with the confirmation of 62 new cases on Tuesday. Most of the cases were locally transmitted as per statistics shared by the Corona Cell established at the Directorate of Health Balochistan. 172 patients have recovered from the disease in the province.

The health department has conducted over 8,500 tests in the province. However, over 500 tests were conducted on Tuesday. The virus has claimed 14 lives in the province.

In view of increasing cases, the Balochistan government has extended the lockdown till May 5 to contain the novel coronavirus. Liaquat Shahwani, the Spokesman government of Balochistan told daily Quetta Voice that anyone violating the lockdown order would be taken to task by law enforcement agencies.
